Take the LEAP!

In November 2008 I had made a sale to a customer for $16,000 for a new Camera system.
We hadn’t installed the hardware as he was in no hurry and was willing to wait until Feb 2009.

In December of last year we came across some exciting new technology for Camera hardware and software and I thought to myself’ I should call Cliff to qualify him as a candidate for this technology’.
I performed a presentation for him yesterday an outlined 2 options for him to take advantage of the new technology.

Option 1 was for $35,000 and option 2 $65,000. He then went on to say that he’d much prefer the benefits of option 2 but it was a little out his price range.

My immediate thought was ‘Well at least he has gone with option 1 that’s not bad’. Then I thought Whoa, listen to where that comment came from.

He wants the benefits of option 2 and didn’t say he couldn’t afford it, just a little more than what he thought he would be investing. So once I determined where he’d be comfortable I then put forward a proposal for $57,000 and he placed the order.

Prior to your training I would have left over $30k on the table!

I now have a happier customer, happier techs because they are playing with nicer toys and even I got a bit of satisfaction out of it.
